Lower Alsace Township Manager Don Pottiger suggested an initial meeting of elected officials to identify issues for a potential municipal merger before bringing in the Department of Community and Economic Development. Pottiger said the first meeting should identify topics such as police structure (regional vs. municipal), code enforcement, and other operational arrangements; July 16 and July 17 at 6:30 PM were suggested as possible dates.
