The Village of Cold Spring adopted a records retention and disposition schedule based on guidance from the New York State Archives. Clerk Marjorie told the board the schedule sets legal minimum retention periods for local government records, covers digital as well as physical records, and will allow the village to pursue project-based grants for archival improvements such as fireproof storage boxes or mold remediation.
