The council approved issuing a request for proposals for corporate sponsorships as a two‑year pilot program, with staff authorized to revise application and decision dates so the selection returns to council in April. Nathan Brackett, city attorney, said the idea — proposed by a council member — was to test a limited sponsorship pilot (originally focused on 4x4 industry partners) and that issuing an RFP would not obligate the city to accept any proposal.
