Select Board signs off on preliminary design choices for Bridge 42 replacement

The Jamaica Select Board approved several preliminary design choices for the Bridge 42 replacement — metallized steel girders, plain concrete stamped abutments with a larger block pattern (no pigment), dark-green powder-coated railings, and striping to allow one-lane controlled traffic — and asked the state consultant to return with finalized plans at the July meeting.
