County to accept $10,000 KIDS Summit grant; designates Commissioner Douglas as FCFC board representative
Commissioners authorized acceptance of a $10,000 Ohio Department of Children and Youth grant for the 2026 KIDS Summit and approved an MOU naming Commissioner Donald A. Douglas to act and vote for the Board on Family & Children First Council matters; the board also agreed to contribute $2,000 to the collaborative for the 2026–2027 period.

The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners authorized the president to electronically sign the Ohio Department of Children and Youth Grant Agreement for 2026 KIDS Summit attendance for $10,000, in effect through Sept. 30, 2026. The action was taken on the recommendation of the Director of the Family and Children First Council and approved by the Prosecuting Attorney. Commissioner Donald A. Douglas moved the agreement and Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
