Representatives for the Arlington Public Library, Amy Bendtsen and Mary Mitchell, asked the council on July 9 for $46,500 in the 2025–26 budget to move library staffing to a 40‑hour week and expand programs. They said a prior increase brought base funding to $42,500 and the new $4,000 request would further increase hours and programming.
