Workforce office reports placements; committee accepts $5,000 SkillsUp donation
The county Employment and Training office reported median post-placement wages and program activity; the committee approved accepting $5,000 from the Allegany County Area Foundation for the SkillsUp Allegany tuition-assistance program.

Rita Selbick Lynch, director of Employment and Training, updated the committee on program outcomes for adults, dislocated workers and youth participants, saying clients who completed training and found employment averaged about $6.58 over the minimum wage in median earnings gains.
