Police assistant resigns; board authorizes two-week ad for replacement

Police Chief Terry Balewski told trustees that Assistant to the Chief Becky Nemecheck has tendered her resignation; "Her last day will be August, 24, 2026, and she is willing to return to help train the new assistant," the minutes state. The board voted 4-0 to accept the resignation and then voted 4-0 to post a two-week advertisement in the paper to recruit a replacement administrative assistant.
