Tri-County Office on Aging outlines programs, flags Medicaid and Older Americans Act risks

Tri-County Office on Aging reviewed services for older adults across Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties, reported reaching about 13,900 people last year and warned that proposed federal changes to Medicaid and the Older Americans Act pose risks to key programs.

Andrea Bridal, executive director of the Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA), told the county board that TCOA provides evidence-based health and wellness programs, long-term supports, Nutrition programs including Meals on Wheels, and information and assistance across a three-county region. Bridal said TCOA reached roughly 13,900 people last year and highlighted programs such as SHIP counseling, caregiver support, and kinship respite.
