Neighbors press township on blight at 4421 Crosby Rd.; code enforcement says case ongoing

Resident Barry Turkovics told the Board about unregistered vehicles, tall unmowed grass attracting wildlife, a deer carcass, junk piles and dogs kept in a trailer at 4421 Crosby Rd.; Code Enforcement Officer Mark said the township has acted previously and that enforcement is hindered by court delays.

During public comment, resident Barry Turkovics described ongoing nuisance and blight conditions at 4421 Crosby Rd., saying: "There are 3 vehicles not plated in between this house and his house. The grass has not been mowed, and I have seen raccoons come out of the tall grass. The previous owner passed and his son owns the property now and has sold the property under a land contract." Turkovics also reported seeing a deer carcass near a barn and piles of junk next to a fence line and requested that township staff inspect the property and walk the site with him.
