The Killeen City Council voted 7–0 on Sept. 15 to authorize a five‑year sponsorship agreement with Rodeo Killeen totaling $250,000, with an annual commitment of $50,000 funded from the hotel‑occupancy tax. Miss McNair, who presented the item, said the last event drew approximately 17,000 visits and produced an estimated economic impact of $1.8 million.
