Commission will explore DeKalb County Community Foundation grant for trees
Commission member Dawn Darling will investigate whether the DeKalb County Community Foundation grant opportunity could fund additional trees for the village; the commission assigned follow-up ahead of its September meeting.

At the Aug. 11 meeting the Tree Advisory Commission noted that the DeKalb County Community Foundation is accepting grant proposals and tasked a member to evaluate whether a grant application could fund tree purchases or plantings. The minutes state that "Dawn reported that the DeKalb County Community Foundation is once again accepting grant proposals, and she will look into what is required and whether we can submit a grant for trees."
