Carrie Shepherd, the VDOT resident engineer, briefed the board on scheduled project milestones and active construction in Albemarle County. Shepherd said the shared‑use path on Route 29 had been re‑advertised with an expected contract award by month’s end, the I‑64 Exit 107 Park & Ride has been advertised with bids due late January, and the Burke Mar Drive–Airport Road connector is moving toward right‑of‑way acquisition and an expected advertisement in late winter 2027–2028 for construction.
