An emergency manager told the commission the annual Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) application is ready and requested the chairman's signature to submit the county's application. He said the award "ranges from 28 to 30 something thousand dollars," adding that last year the county received $28,668 and the paperwork is due by Oct. 2.
