Utilities highlight OASIS reuse program as city marks Water Reuse Week

At the May 12 meeting the commission proclaimed May 17–23 as Florida Water Reuse Week and heard a short presentation from utilities staff about the city’s OASIS reclaimed‑water program. Miss Mohammed, speaking for the utilities department, said the OASIS program — initiated in 1989 — supplies reuse water for irrigation of the golf course, parks, medians and more than 1,600 residential reuse customers in Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point.
