Court approves two TxDOT/CDBG stormwater maintenance agreements for K Bar Ranch and Rancho Alegre
The court authorized agreements with TxDOT to accept maintenance responsibility for stormwater infrastructure connected to two CDBG‑MIT projects (K Bar Ranch and Rancho Alegre). Commissioners said county maintenance will reduce neighborhood flooding risk; both motions passed by voice vote.

Grant administrator Norma Salas and engineer Carlos Montalvo briefed the court on two CDBG mitigation stormwater projects — K Bar Ranch and Rancho Alegre — that drain to FM 1554 and a county retention pond. TxDOT requested a county maintenance agreement for underground infrastructure and the retention basins that will lie along the FM 1554 right‑of‑way.
