Brent Blake and Diane Skinner of the Community Center Board presented a financial report to the council and asked for city assistance. "The Board is seeking financial assistance from the City; and possibly for the Board to dis-band if enough members cannot be found during their January meeting," the minutes record. Council members said they were not opposed to annual contributions but would prefer the existing board remain in place to run the center.
