Commissioners approve reduced firearms purchase and smaller computer allocation for Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Capitosti told the Board he could scale back equipment requests and identified immediate priorities for his department. "Replacing 21 firearms, rather than the 100 originally requested, would be sufficient," Capitosti said; the Board approved the staff-recommended allocation of $36,000 for firearms.
