Commissioners rescind conditional hire after unsatisfactory pre‑hire screening

The Miami County Board of Commissioners voted Aug. 27 to rescind, in part, Resolution No. 26-08-887 and the related employment verification for J Caylee N. Kohn, who had been authorized as a full-time Social Services Caseworker with a start date of Aug. 31, 2026 at $21.56 per hour. The rescission followed notification from the Human Resources Department that Ms. Kohn's pre-hire screening results were unsatisfactory; the action was recorded in Resolution No. 26-08-905 and approved by unanimous roll call.
