County recommends balanced 2027 general fund budget without using reserves
Budget staff told the committee the recommended 2027 general fund budget is balanced without using reserves and includes a $1.5 million allocation toward phase 2 of the jail master plan funded by public safety sales tax and cannabis use tax.

Scott presented the recommended general fund approach for fiscal year 2027 and said the budget team expects to deliver a balanced budget that does not use reserves. "We'll be recommending a balanced budget, in the general fund, for FY27, that does not use any reserves," he said.
