Chief Renwick updated the council on three traffic safety grants and the city's red‑light camera demonstration program. He said the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee awarded the department $12,647 for targeted enforcement (seat‑belt mobilization, distracted driving and regular traffic enforcement) for 10/01/2026–09/30/2027 and $2,968 for a child passenger safety program; he also described a Peekskill school district reimbursement agreement up to $7,688 for officers to run an after‑school mentorship program (LEAP).
