Nebraska Public Media completes KUON channel conversion; advances network and hearing-room upgrades
Engineering staff reported completion of KUON's conversion from VHF Channel 12 to UHF Channel 27, a network core deployment with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and a new audio system and testifier timer for Hearing Room 1023 to improve public access and reception.

Nebraska Public Media reported the multi-year conversion of KUON from VHF Channel 12 to UHF Channel 27 is complete, a technical change staff said has improved over-the-air signal coverage and reception in parts of the Lincoln market. Sr. Director of Engineering Jered Hofker said staff worked directly with more than 100 viewers who had reported reception issues to confirm improved service.
