Derek Weigel, chair of the Bremer County EMS Advisory Council, told the board the association has reorganized and is working to build shared medical direction, operating protocols and resource-sharing among local EMS providers. “We need to bring this back to the local government, the local community, the local service, and ask them to really establish what their needs are before we get to this advisory level,” Weigel said (S10).
