The Marion County School Board accepted a Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services totaling $606,600 for the 2026–27 school year. Superintendent Danielle Brewer said the program will include an additional elementary school this year, bringing total participating schools to 19.
