Central Middle School Principal Dorothy Serna described specific campus practices she said propelled benchmark gains: teacher teams analyze benchmark data and set class‑ and student‑level goals; electives and PE staff are assigned targeted reading or vocabulary interventions; and the campus runs focused camp days while students track their own progress. "Each teacher had to fill this out and then they had to look and analyze the data and give me a commitment," Serna said of teachers' benchmark commitments.
