Council to seek public hearing on Clark County solid-waste code cleanup
Clark County staff asked the Council to allow a public hearing on an ordinance that updates solid-waste code language after program moves from Public Health to Public Works; councilors gave informal direction to proceed and staff said they will return Oct. 20 with hearing materials.

Clark County Solid Waste and Recycling Division manager Joelle Loscher told the Council the purpose of the work session was administrative: "our desired result from our work session today is that Council approve us to proceed in a public hearing which allows solid waste and recycling division to just complete this necessary administrative cleanup in these elements of the code." She asked Council to authorize a public hearing so staff can finalize wording changes.
