County manager Candace Bryan reported that staff across departments are finalizing budgets and that the county is waiting on a last elected official to finish a budget submission; she stressed elected offices must prepare defendable budget requests because decisions by one office affect countywide appropriations. Bryan said finance and staff have been doing unglamorous systems work and that an RFP for a capital asset management plan will be posted this week.
