The Nome Joint Utility Board received status updates Sept. 22 on multiple energy projects and grant applications. Staff said the Community Microgrid Development Partnership (CAP) project — a grant‑funded effort to upgrade transformers, relays and feeder protection as part of microgrid work — is underway but behind its original schedule.
