Denton trustees approve first reading of Nebraska Basic Code update, waive three-reading rule
The Board approved the first reading and introduction of Ordinance 26-3-1 to adopt the Nebraska Basic Code of Ordinances, 2025, and unanimously waived the statutory three-reading requirement. Trustees Rosekrans and Fangmeier led the motions.

The Village of Denton Board of Trustees on March 2 approved the first reading and introduction of Ordinance 26-3-1 to adopt the Nebraska Basic Code of Ordinances, 2025. Trustee Doug Rosekrans moved to introduce the ordinance and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded; the board then voted unanimously to waive the state statutory requirement for three separate readings and to approve the first reading and introduction.
