The Gary Board of Works approved issuing a request for qualifications for the Holy Angels Pre‑Approved Housing Pilot under the Gary First program. The pilot is being developed with the City Department of Community Development, Kercher Studios and the University of Notre Dame Department of Architecture to create pre‑approved housing plans intended to lower front‑end development costs.
