Human Services Committee approves grant, adds Friendship Building renovation to CIP

The Monroe County Human Services Committee on Dec. 16, 2025 approved acceptance of a grant from the New York State Department of Health and/or the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York under the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program IV to support a project at Monroe Community Hospital. The measure would add a project titled "Renovation and Revitalization of the Friendship Building and Grounds" to the county's 2026–2031 Capital Improvement Program and the 2026 Capital Budget and authorize financing. The item is sponsored by County Executive Adam J. Bello and was presented to the committee during the meeting.
