Design work nearly finished for Taha softball complex, staff says
City parks staff told the board the Taha softball complex design is nearly complete and that the project will move to contracting or bidding with hopes to break ground before the end of the year or in early spring, aiming for availability in the next summer season.

Parks staff said the Taha softball complex design phase is wrapping up and that the department will move to either a professional services contract or a public bid once final plans are received. "Hopefully have that breaking ground maybe even before the end of the year here into the early springtime," staff said, and noted the possibility that, if sod is used, fields could be available for play next summer.
