Education Committee approves grouped budget amendments for grant and restricted funds
The Sumner County Education Committee on Sept. 21 approved a grouped motion to adopt budget amendments 10B1–10B7, which reallocate grant- and restricted-fund receipts to line items in the current budget without adding local funding.

The Sumner County Education Committee voted unanimously on Sept. 21 to group and approve budget amendments labeled 10B1 through 10B7, which adjust how recently received grant and restricted funds are recorded in the county schools' budget. The Chair explained these changes do not require additional local funding and are intended to allocate funds received after the adopted budget. A committee member moved to group and approve the items; Ms. Hall seconded and the motion passed.
