At the start of the audit discussion, a Select Board member asked another to "clarify what you meant" by suggesting she had been responsible for bookkeeping problems. Lety responded directly: "I'm grateful that you and Jen dedicated your time... but at the same time, what I said was that you and Jen were in that office during that time." She emphasized that her entries in the financial system carry her name and that she had limited access to bank accounts and other functions.
