E‑911 software cost drop prompts Sheridan County budget amendment

Sheridan County staff told commissioners a Motorola software bid cut the E‑911 line by roughly $2,700 and raised expected E‑911 revenue; a formal budget amendment will be presented for approval the next day.

Cameron, who presented the E‑911 budget, said new Motorola software came in significantly cheaper than the version previously budgeted and that the county would reduce the E‑911 appropriation accordingly. "The E‑911 committee brought up from new software from Motorola. It came in at half the amount," Cameron told the Board.
