Committee recommends HR run Dallas city-attorney search after split vote
The ad hoc committee voted 3–2 to recommend that City Human Resources conduct an internal search and performance evaluation for the city-attorney position, after debate over cost, procurement time and possible conflicts if staff lead the search.

The Ad Hoc Committee on Administrative Affairs voted to recommend that City Human Resources conduct the search and performance evaluation for the city-attorney position rather than hiring an outside executive-search firm. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Moreno moved the recommendation during the HR discussion and the committee adopted it by a reported 3–2 vote.
