UNOS Connect modules and tools planned to help OPOs implement DCD policy
UNOS and OPTN will publish training modules and guidance to help OPOs operationalize the new DCD requirements; UNOS Connect modules are planned for Oct. 1 and an FAQ and guidance document will be posted on the OPTN site.

Speakers urged OPOs to prepare for implementation by updating SOPs, educating staff and donor hospitals, informing leadership and boards, and developing just‑in‑time materials. Micah said two UNOS Connect educational modules are being developed and planned for Oct. 1 to support competency‑based training and to provide a method for documenting completion of required education.
