Sam Pratt, representing the Conservation Commission, told the Select Board the commission plans to issue an RFP for contractors to assess and help treat invasive plants on several town plots (including the Rivershore Preserve and Town Green), noting certain areas are now “rife with a lot of non-native species” and that some projects are too large for volunteer-only approaches. The commission asked the board for guidance since Conservation Reserve Fund applications would require Select Board approval before funds are spent.
