Committee advances 2027 solid-waste levy for special collection district
The committee voted to send proposal 263, approving the 2027 tax levy and rate for the Solid Waste Special Collection Service District, to full council with a do-pass recommendation after a brief administrative presentation from the Office of Finance and Management.

Chairwoman Kristen Jones opened the meeting and introduced proposal 263, which approves the tax levy and rate for the Solid Waste Special Collection Service District for 2027. Jenny Carter, budget manager with the Office of Finance and Management, told the committee the item is an administrative action that adopts the district’s 2027 budget, tax rate and levy and mirrors the information in the 2027 budget ordinance (section 3.01, subsection e).
