Prosecutor reports heavy felony caseload and recent trial outcomes

The Genesee County prosecutor delivered a quarterly report covering July through the current date, telling commissioners the office remained busy with criminal filings and trials. According to the report, staff reviewed 1,848 warrant requests and filed charges in 1,227 of those matters; roughly 1,700 of the reviewed matters were adult felonies and the office issued about 179 felony-level indictments during the period.
