Mayor Michele C. Shillito read a proclamation declaring October Domestic Violence Awareness Month during the Sept. 15 meeting, and the council voted to adopt the proclamation. The motion to approve was made by Councilor Julian Monjaras and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Laura Parra; the roll-call vote recorded all present councilors as AYE.
