Manager reports retail lease, water exploration and possible moratorium on data centers

City Manager Aaron Sera gave several operational and economic updates during the Sept. 15 council meeting. He reported that "5 Below is working on a lease agreement and should be opening around June 2027," said brackish water exploration will continue as staff evaluate local water resources, and noted the city's moratorium on certain water uses could be applied to data centers to analyze their economic and resource impacts.
