The zoning board granted a variance allowing a larger wall sign for a planned Five Below store on Harrison Avenue. Gordon, the city staff member, read the staff report describing the project: Five Below plans to occupy a new multi-tenant shopping strip across from Kroger, with a proposed 64-square-foot storefront wall sign where the B4 business district ordinance allows 40 square feet.
