County approves soccer-complex irrigation bid; Recreation Master Plan decision delayed
Burke County approved Tanner's Lawn Care for the soccer complex irrigation project and tabled selection of a firm for the Recreation Master Plan to allow additional interviews by the Recreation Committee.

The board accepted Tanner's Lawn Care's bid for the soccer complex irrigation project (base $22,000; Option 2 $6,300) on unanimous vote after Manager Adam Flakes said staff is exploring well-installation options to operate the system. Commissioner Rodney Braswell moved to accept Tanner's bid and Commissioner Q. U. "Art" Lively seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
