Clay County building commission proposes 2018 ICC codes but defers energy code
Staff and the Building Commission recommended updating Clay County's building regulations from the 2012 to the 2018 ICC codes (including the International Existing Building Code) while excluding the energy code for now. Commissioners asked staff to return with further analysis on energy-code impacts.

Planning director Kip Jones and members of the Clay County Building Commission presented a proposed update to move the county from the 2012 International Code Council (ICC) family to the 2018 editions for residential, plumbing, mechanical, fire and the International Existing Building Code (IEBC).
