Privacy concerns raised over Flock/ALPR cameras and data centers

Multiple speakers urged the council to explain the use and governance of camera systems in the city. Jill Roer said she had noticed a sharp increase in camera deployment and asked who decides placement, compensation for property owners, and long-term retention policies. "Who decides where these cameras go who decides if they're on private or public property who pays for the cameras do property owners get paid for having them," she asked.
