Community Development staff outline director recruitment and pause on general plan

Deputy Community Development Administrator Shannon Walker Smith told the commission the department is in transition and is recruiting a new community development director. Smith congratulated the department’s newest planner on his first presentation to the commission and said staff is working to keep daily operations running while evaluating a number of procedural changes.
