UTC notes bylaw amendment next steps; committee updates and future agenda items
Commissioners heard a status update that UTC bylaw amendments cleared Audit & Finance but now also require City Council approval under 2025 rules; committee updates included the Joint Sustainability Committee, the Bicycle Advisory Council and Pedestrian Advisory Council. Future agenda items include ATP/rail, Palmerland corridor and ASMP amendments.

Vice Chair Spencer Schumacher told the commission that Audit & Finance had recommended approval of UTC bylaw amendments, but a 2025 rules change now requires that both Audit & Finance and City Council approve the amendments. Schumacher said the bylaw amendment would be added to a Council agenda in the near term.
