Commission establishes two work groups to streamline solar-plus-storage installs and study long-term storage

Commissioner Al said the commission is forming two work groups: one focused on streamlining local solar-plus-storage installation processes that will include EUC and RMC members, Solar Austin and contractors; the other will examine long-term storage technologies and strategies capable of addressing multi-day (4–7 day) reliability needs. "We're in the process of forming 2 work groups," Al said, and staff and members will use doodle polls to schedule the initial meetings, which are expected to begin online and last about an hour to start.
