The Lee County Board of Commissioners approved staff's recommendation to award a performance audit contract to Evergreen Solutions at a not‑to‑exceed price of $149,000. Staff reported receiving 12 complete proposals (ranging from about $79,450 to $342,949) and recommended Evergreen based on experience, schedule and methodology. The county manager and finance staff said the audit is intended to identify operational efficiencies and to provide recommendations ahead of budget season; the item included a budget amendment to appropriate fund balance to cover the cost.
